Workshops Waveformers & Walk- in sound art

Rewire presents the Waveformers workshop by Musikarbeiter
Rewire, the international festival for adventurous music, offers a challenging music education programme throughout the year. This consists of workshops and other educational activities, both during school hours and after school, such as this year at Bing Bang. The Waveformers workshop will be presented during Big Bang.

What are waveforms and how do they sound? How does a speaker work? What are frequencies and amplitudes? What does electronic sound look like? During the Waveformers workshop, you will explore the answers to these questions and be amazed at what electronic sounds can look like!

Musikarbeiter
Musikarbeiter's vision goes back to the iconic band Kraftwerk, who in the 1970s did not call themselves musicians but “music workers”. The focus was no longer on individual musical identity, but on being part of a larger whole. We use this concept to explore the workings of music and sound together in an accessible and fun way. That's why our motto is: 'Not everyone is a musician, but together we are Musikarbeiter.'

Rewire
Rewire is an annual international festival for adventurous music. The fifteenth edition of the festival will take place over four days, from 9 to 12 April 2026, at 25 locations in The Hague. The programme consists of concerts, interdisciplinary performances, (sound) installations, sound walks, workshops, lectures, presentations and film screenings.
