Squeak Boum

An adulterated soprano extols the virtues of asphalt, insults her mother and concocts a recipe for boiled tomatoes. She is met by a sassy percussionist who clashes a thousand everyday objects, making coins jingle, a case resonate and bird calls crackle. In unison, they dance a chachacha in pyjamas and Bermuda shorts. Contemporary music has never been so funny!

Ensemble Sillages, director Emily Wilson and composers Francesco Filidei and Jacques Rebotier invent a cabinet of absurdities filled with sonic gags and vocal mischief, in complicity with singer Jeanne Crousaud and percussionist Hélène Colombotti. Based on an original idea by Jeanne Crousaud.
