What happens to the sounds of the world when no one really listens anymore? Sound Explorers is an interactive music theatre performance that invites children and their families to go on a journey of discovery together – away from screens, back to the senses.
In this playful and poetic performance, participants enter a soundscape that feels like a magical playground. Sound takes centre stage, but is constantly linked to sight, smell, touch and movement. Together with musicians and guides, the Sound Explorers go on a mission: to save disappearing sounds.
Guided by a story and a treasure map, children (and adults!) explore different sound stations. They discover sounds hidden in colours, shapes, objects, smells and tastes. From individual experiments, they slowly grow towards collective musical moments, in which everything comes together.
Between discoveries, mini-concerts pop up like surprising encounters in a musical forest. Ultimately, participants create a unique composition together with the Modelo62 ensemble – a shared experience centred on listening, playing and wonder.
Sound Explorers is not a performance to just watch, but to experience from within. An invitation to pause together, listen again and hear the world as you may not have done for a long time.
