Music straight from the heart, that’s what Offrimi il cuore serves up. Literally in fact, since the departure point of the music in this project are the heartbeats of the musicians. What will it be today, presto or more like lento? Two seasoned improvising musicians, bassist Lieven Van Pee and percussionist Wim Segers, improvise to the rhythm of their heartbeats in a brilliant video installation setting by the Italian Antonello Fresu. And what’s more, during BIG BANG you can lend your own heartbeat to the musicians and find out during Offrimi il cuore how music sounds to your own heartbeat.
