For Big BANG, Van der Harst is behind the wheel of a new project with the Ledebirds from Ghent. The Ledebirds have members of all ages and roots all over the world, but all of them have their heart in the Ledeberg neighbourhood in Ghent. It’s a project right up Van der Harst’s street. Together they explore unfamiliar musical treasures from far away and close to home, and serve up their sizzling spectacle at the BIG BANG Festival.
In Lille, Van der Harst and the Ledebirds get to work with children from the CM1 and CM2 class of the Chateaubriand de Villeneuve d'Ascq school.
In Brussels, Van der Harst and the Ledebirds get to work with children from the Institut des Soeurs de Notre-Dame in Anderlecht.
