The Tutti Timbri Music Playground is a unique collection of more than 20 sound objects. Children up to the age of 8 are invited to play and experiment with it: no musical knowledge required. Have the time of your life with the drums and gongs, ride around on clattering wheels, ring and rattle with the hand-made wooden instruments. You can play with absolutely everything!
Bert van Bommel is a musician and musical educator from the Netherlands. He sees a direct link between children’s musical games and the improvisation practices of jazz musicians. He has been designing and constructing wooden musical instruments for young children for many years, under the name Tutti Timbri (Italian for ‘all the sounds’).
*The Music Playground is designed for children up to 8 years old. Unfortunately older children are not allowed to use it because of the fragility of the installation. Thank you for your understanding.
