ROESTgroep makes performances from gifts. You give something, they make a show with it. For MADE IN KWAKKABA they are collecting old and forgotten toys. Theatre-maker Silke Melis and musician Alec De Bruyn take a fresh look at them, turn them upside down and inside out, shake them, blow on them and give them new life instead of throwing them on a rubbish heap. Every cast-off furby, dying teddy bear or battery-dead Casio gets a new lease of life thanks to a place in this show. Together with the audience they narrate a wonderfully wordless musical story about the amazing journey of a bath duck.
Last year MADE IN KWAKKABA was applauded in the Music Rooms, this year we present them as a full-blown show for anyone over 4 years old.
