You may be 100 years old, but you're still in the mood for an all-out birthday party. That's why the Lille Opera is inviting children (and their parents) to a memorable celebration. You'll be able to do something that's never been done before: dance on a giant ballroom floor, set up in the middle of the stalls to link the stage and the Grande Salle.
David Rolland, a specialist in participatory choreography and the author of a joyous Happy Manif in 2019-20, has come up with an anthology "centenary ball"... Also on the menu: a treasure hunt, surprises, oddities hidden in the Opera's dressing rooms... and shows.
Designed for younger audiences by the ever-inventive Zonzo Compagnie, Hey Meredith! features the strange dreams of a tortoise to help audiences discover the world of contemporary American composer Meredith Monk.
