The Jangada (a lulling piece) is a concert performed in theater through a scenographic-instrumental device that is, at the same time, a large percussion instrument or a mirrored surface where the audience and a cellist are reflected during the show.
This device brings the figure of the “audience”, experienced here as a large raft, to the center of musical dramaturgy, plastically exploring the “distance between performer and spectator” as a “liquid and unstable” territory.
Sound, space, light, architecture, and conventions in the relationship between performers and spectators are articulated in a small space where the public survives the immersion, floating.
